Let's clean the toilet

In one of those amazing moments as a Mom I was able to get both of my girls to help clean the bathroom on Saturday and they were happy to do it. and today Lyndsi shouted "Let's clean the toilet, let's clean the toilet!" So she is teaching hailey how to wash the toilet. They are so happy about it too.
I love those moments. Jerome even recorded her so now we can show it to her when she is a teenager and hopefully get the same enthusiastic reply :)
How funny!

Chad is cruising

This week Chad pulled himself up on the furniture. He even moved from one chair to another it was great. He is getting so big.
My in laws came over for dinner tonight. They gave me a peek at Christmas for my kids. I'm so grateful  for grandparents who have a little more time to find great deals and then the resourses to take advantage of them.
I also got to pick out one of my presents.
I'M SO EXCITED!!!
new goals, new fun!

Wall of Thanks

The Girls and I are making a wall of thanks. Everyday we draw a picture of something we are thankful for and tape it to the kitchen wall. So far we have our family, flowers and eyes from me
Lyndsi did Mom and Dad, flowers, house, cutsie wootsie sparkle (our fish)
Hailey did Family, banana, and eyes and hands.
It is pretty fun to color with them and especially Lyndsi because she copies a little bit what I draw and then Hailey copies Lyndsi.
I guess they say the greatest form of flattery is copying them.
We will have a whole Wall of Thanks by Thanksgiving.
You can come by and see it if you want :)

Halloween!

I'm grateful that we are all finally healthy and we have cute costumes provided by a wonderful neighbor and my mom and brother in law.
Jerome is going to be a magician and I am a bunny (see how cute that is- He pulled me out of his hat)
Lyndsi will end up being two things. She was Cinderella on Wednesday and tomorrow she will be a pig (such a cute pig costume too)
Hailey is a princess frog. She wears a tootoo over a frog costume she is so cute
Chad is a lizard/crocodile/dinosaur. I think it is a dinosaur!
He was going to be a bat but the costume didn't fit and that one was really cute too.
Well I am just grateful that we can dress up in crazy costumes and no one cares because it's Halloween. Just think if we dressed up on some random day and went to the store. People would think we were crazy.
I like that crazy is unanimously accepted on Halloween!

Crawling

Chad officially crawled for the first time today on his hands and knees. He has been army crawling for about 1 week now. I can't believe how fast babies grow. Just 8 months ago he was newborn and tiny and not moving around at all and now he is getting into all sorts of things and crawling.
What fun!

Help me fall asleep

Every night our bedtime routine is the same. We always sing "I Am a Child of God" and the girls love it. I asked Hailey during the day if she wanted me to sing her a song and she said, "Lead me, Guide me, Walk beside me, help me fall asleep."
How cute is that!

Birthday Fun!

It was my birthday and my daughter Hailey's birthday yesterday. We had so much fun playing and making cupcakes and Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Daryl came down to enjoy dinner at IHOP with my Dad and my family and Mr.Clyn L Young. It was so fun. Hailey got Rapunzel for her birthday and she has been playing with it since she woke up this morning. She also got play doh and she loves loves loves it. She is so happy. She also got a tinkerbell music box that is so super cute thanks the the mother of a little girl I watch for child care now.
I also got many wonderful presents that I absolutely love. It is wonderful that we celebrate the day we came into this world.
I'm so lucky to be born into the family I have and to have the beautiful children in my life. Wow!

Time really Flies

I really need to feel grateful today. So here it goes
I'm Grateful:
That Chad goes to sleep so easily for naps. What a sweet boy!
Hailey and I had a wonderful birthday out to eat at IHOP with Grandpapa and Grandpa Daryl and Grandma Sharon, and Clyn L Young and he paid for dinner, unexpectedly, what a great guy!
Jerome has earned $100 almost everyday window washing.
Lyndsi and Hailey are playing like best friends right now. I love them both so much!
Our renter, Paul, is moving in tomorrow and I can already tell we are going to be great friends.
Jerome is an excellent DIY kind of guy. He is always willing to learn something new and figure out new projects.
I have so much love and support from everyone I know.
I got a cd from Cherie Burton yesterday just in time to be a birthday present and it is called "Permission to Shine" I'm so excited to listen to it. Maybe I'll pop it in right now.

I feel much more balanced now that I have remembered a few of my many blessings

50th Wedding Anniversary

My parents-in-law just celebrated their 50th anniversary. We ate at The Roof Restaurant and it was just as delicious as I thought it would be. I think I tried one of everything. or at least one bite of everything especially all of the incredible desserts.
Quote from Mom South "Life has road bumps there always are, but when you look back after 50 years it really was smooth sailing."
I'm excited to take that journey with Jerome, aka J.D., so we can look back over our life together and say "ya it really was smooth sailing all those rough spots look smooth from here."
Thank you Mom Jones for making it possible for us to go even though you were super busy. I love you!

Oh yeah David Archuleta the 2nd place winner of American Idol was there eating too! I felt like a teenager cause I wanted to ask him for his autograph.

Surrender

I went crazy Saturday making it possible to attend a class taught by Cherie Burton and her sister Taunia.
It was awesome! Cherie was Mrs. Utah United States in 2004 and she has several cd's out: music and talks on cd.  I was uplifted and inspired it was like Relief Society on steriods :)
I am implimenting what I learned and I already feel more peace. I will keep you updated because it is a new habit being formed and I want to keep it up because I love the feeling I have right now

Painting

I really don't know what caused us to dig out all of our old paint cans and try painting our house from bottom to top. we really are starting at the bottom and going to the top to see how much we can get done with the paint we already have. Why oh why?
Sometimes Hailey will say something without using her voice she just lips it and breathes out. It is really hard to understand her...probably just as hard to understand me trying to explain what she does.
Lyndsi is in a new stage of life with everything needing to be perfectly ordered in her special way she has all of her toys piled on her stroller and she gets so mad if anything falls off. I can't wait for that stage to pass.

I'm Trying to be Like Jesus

Hailey is so sweet. She spilled her milk during dinner. Jerome noticed she had some milk on her front and while she was trying to wipe the milk off of her she tipped her hand holding the cup and spilled the milk on the floor. It was actually really funny. So she was cleaning it up very daintily and said "I'm trying to be like Jesus." I love kids.
Sometimes Lyndsi is so full of love that she strangles us when she gives us kisses. Should I try and stop her? Or should I let her love us soo much?
Chad learned how to do raspberries this week and so we have been showered with his spit but it makes us laugh. Unfortunately it isn't so cute when 4 year olds do it.
When Chad is sad and starting to cry Lyndsi and Hailey will sing the "Baptism" song and he calms down so quick he loves listening to them sing.
and Jerome, aka J.D., aka Darling Husband, put a door in at the bottom of our stairs and feels really good about himself right now.
How so much to be grateful for!

If I had Crystal

As loud and high as my daughters scream If I had crystal it would all be broken. I was the one who always said I would never yell at my children. Well, if I didn't yell they wouldn't be able to hear me above their yelling sheesh.
Gratitude for the day:
I am grateful that it is only 5-10 minutes at a time and it only happens 3-4 times a day that really is hardly any time at all. Most of the time we are happy and have fun.
I love how my girls dance around and sing like princesses together.
I love how Chad can play for 30 minutes and be so happy without needing me right at his side.
I am grateful that my husband helps clean the kitchen after dinner. He always sweeps and puts the dishes in the dish washer. He is Awesome

I just feel grateful for every little thing!

I have a hardworking husband. My children are healthy and happy. They tell me they love me every day. I can't complain.
